ART IN PUBLIC PLACES PROGRAM
New Mexico State University has selected, purchased and placed public art on campus, funded by the Art in Public
Places (AIPP) program of the New Mexico Arts Division (NMAD). The AIPP Act directs one percent of the total
state appropriation of new construction or renovation of any building to be expended for the acquisition of art.
The intent of this brochure is to provide a map of artwork installed through the AIPP direct purchase initiatives and
commissioned projects, for a self-guided tour around the university grounds. Take the walking tour and explore
The New Mexico State University Photojournalism Club is open to people of all majors who are interested in sharpening their skills in photography. There mission is to help students become well-rounded by providing workshops, sharing opinions on pictures and raising money to travel for photo opportunities (including opportunities to show your portfolio). Every year, they also display their photography at the Corbett Center Art Gallery.Meetings are every other Tuesday at 5:00 pm in Milton Hall room 153. Communal figure drawing club for aspiring artists. A (currently) model-less figure drawing meet and greet where the artists draw each other. To draw, you must be drawn!
