In partnership with Visual AIDS, the University Art Gallery, Creative Media Institute and Gender and Sexuality Studies at New Mexico State University presents ALTERNATE ENDINGS, RADICAL BEGINNINGS for the 28th annual Day With(out) Art on World AIDS Day, December 1, 2017.

When: December 1, 6pm

What: Screening of  ALTERNATE ENDINGS, RADICAL BEGINNINGS  with introduction by Marisa Sage (University Art Gallery), Dr. M. Catherine Jonet (Gender and Sexuality Studies.), and Laura Anh Williams, Ph.D. (Gender and Sexuality Studies.). Co-presentation between the University Art Gallery, Department of Art, Creative Media Institute, and Gender and Sexuality Studies at New Mexico State University. 

Curated by Erin Christovale and Vivian Crockett for Visual AIDS,  ALTERNATE ENDINGS, RADICAL BEGINNINGS  prioritizes Black narratives within the ongoing AIDS epidemic, commissioning seven new and innovative short videos from artists Mykki Blanco, Cheryl Dunye & Ellen Spiro, Reina Gossett, Thomas Allen Harris, Kia LaBeija, Tiona Nekkia McClodden and Brontez Purnell.

New Mexico State University is one of over 100 partnering institutions across the world will also screen the program on/around December
